Instructors:
Chris Kauffmann is currently the Director of Bands at Oak Park High School in the North Kansas City School District. Mr. Kauffmann conducts the Oak Park Symphonic Band, the Oak Park Marching Northmen Band, and the Oak Park Jazz Band. Mr Kauffmann previously served as the Director of the Bands in the North Platte School District for seven years and Assistant Director in the Willard School District for two years.
Doug Rice is a seasoned educator, conductor, and performer with over 22 years of experience at Union High School in Missouri. Beginning as Drum Major of his high school band in 1993, then in 1999 and 2000 as drum major for the PRIDE Marching Band at Missouri State University, Doug has a deep understanding of both musical and leadership dynamics. Doug's passion extends beyond conducting as he actively trains student leaders, student conductors and drum majors, instilling in them effective leadership techniques and meaningful conducting gestures. Passionate about developing creative and effective gestures on the podium, Doug is dedicated to empowering young musicians and conductors to reach their full potential.
Curtis Tipton is the Director of Bands at Parkview High School, serves as an adjudicator through the Ozarks, specializes in student leadership, and team building. Mr. Tipton is the founder of the Parkview DMA.

The registration fee for this event is $200 per registered student. More detailed information, medical form/liability release, and invoice will be mailed soon to each participating director. REGISTRATION DEADLINE is FRIDAY, MAY 24, 2024. Payment or signed PO will be due by June 19, 2024. An invoice for payment will be emailed to you after you register.
